A random cat post

This is Oscar.

I love this cat beyond reason. I got him a week before I had my miscarriage, two years ago. He was my consoler when no one else could stand my tears. He talks to me when I'm sitting on the couch. Gets right up in my face and starts meowing at me, especially if I'm reading a book. Tries to filch Veggie Stix out of my stash. Gets into bed with me and puts his paws around my neck. Licks my nose. Yells at me when he wants to be fed.

You can keep your dogs. I'll take a cat any day.

Oh, and apparently, in true julia's always The Last To Know fashion, it's de-lurking week. So de-lurk, dammit!

That cat is cute as can be...

I have a little creature that behaves in many of the same ways. I have a theory about cats and evolution. I know so many more cats with interesting social skills these days than I have in the past -- I think as part of the evolutionary process they are becoming better social-pets. Just a theory though.

I too have a cat that I adore. Her name is Sadie. She is 11 and I will go into mourning when she dies.

Ellen - Bwahahahahaha! That picture is hysterical!

I had to get Oscar shaved this summer because his fur got away from me and he got matted. Oh man, that was one pissed off cat. I couldn't help laughing at him, though. He had a puff ball for a tail and mukluks for feet.

Do you get as delighted at pissed of kitties as you do pissed off kids Julia? Nice looking cat you got there. Looks right at home snuggled in the blankets.

What a nice big fat cat. I want to climb in those blankets with him (hoping he doesn't scratch my face) and snuggle my face in.

Kerri - he's not fat, he's fluffy!

Seriously, he only weight 8 or 9 lbs.

Josi - yes, I laugh at him all the time. He gets even more pissed off. Which makes me laugh more. It's a vicious cycle. But, he knows who feeds him and he's just a food whore in a fur coat.

What a nice big FLUFFY (sorry) cat.

He's adorable, fat or not. I think I just want him to be fat to make me feel less guilty about my own 17 lb beast. :)
