Time For A Change

I think I want to change my blog template. I like the little monkey, but I'm not loving the turquoise. I've never really liked that colour so the fact that I've put up with it for as long as I have is a testament to the monkey love.

I'd also like two sidebars. I don't like how cluttered mine looks right now and I don't have the option of putting things down the right side with this template.

I have a page over at TuDiabetes (which, by the way, is just about the most useful social networking site ever) that has an awesome header. I'd love something like that over here. Not identical, but similar. I really love Art Deco things - there's something about the clean lines and uncluttered curves that really appeal to me.

What I want is something that reflects me a bit more. The tiki thing is only one aspect and it's been there for a year now. Time for something different.

I'm more this

than this.

More this (oooooh, how I love this building. Love, love, love it.)

Than this.

More this

Than this.

More Deco than decadent, more Brubeck than Baroque, more Agatha Christie than Patricia Cornwell.

What do you thing? Too tall an order?

ugh. i so completely understand what you're saying. i feel the same way. i've been spending all of my time the last two days doing reserach on templates and moving the girls' blog to a new address. it's all consuming and i just want it done!

i say go for change! why not? i'm excited to see what you come up with next.

I can SO see your header witht he black-and-white building picture.

The monkey could be heading the sidebar.

A good blend of quirky and cool.

I think one of the first posts I read here was on this same topic. That was a long time ago, so ... you HAVE put up with it for a long time.

Oh me too. Am tired of my template but too am too much of a techno-idiot to do it. I look at Krista's template over at bigandlittle and pine for such clean lines and simplicity.

I love a good challenge. If you're interested in some free graphic design options, give me a shout. :)
