The Return Of Sparkle

The Bug has this large 2" square yellow die. I don't know where it came from, but she fucking LOVES it. Carries it with her everywhere. She calls it "My Sparkle." Why? No clue. She's two, that's why.

Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, Sparkle disappeared. I looked in our room, in her bed, under the sofa, all the usual places, but didn't turn it up. Oh, the despair. Every day, at least three times a day, she looks at me mournfully and says "Sparkle gone, Mama. Sparkle gone." She was a very, very, very sad little girl. A girl with no Sparkle.

Today That Canadian Boy I Married was putting his shoes on to get ready to leave the house and lo and behold, there was Sparkle, nestled down in the toe of his shoe.

He brought it out to her and she just about went insane. I think every blood vessel and corpuscle was smiling, she was so happy.

That, ladies and jelly spoons, is a smile of glee. And a very messy table.

Please to ignore the Very Messy Child. When she gets into her yoghurt,
she really gets into her yoghurt.

If only a dice could solve all my problems I'd be swimming in those dice! :D Her smile is precious!
Everyone needs a "sparkle" in their lives.

I quite often find lego tucked into my shoes. Glad she got her sparkle back.

It's so awesome when you get to be the hero!

PS: I still miss Fuzzy. Despite my mom's Missing Flyers, Fuzzy never turned up. I blame that gross neighbor kid.

My tow year old's 'crack' was a tiny pink teddy bear. About one inch tall. Imagine how many times a day it got lost....

Thank gawd you found Sparkle.....

Oh, how I laughed the first time you mentioned Sparkle. I'm greatly entertained that a 2 year old fixates on a yellow die.

I'm pleased to hear The Bug has been reunited with her Sparkle. I know how much trauma ensues when P's rocks or hairbands go missing.

Adorable pictures too by the way. Yoplait is some good shit, I can't blame the kid for getting it all over the place.

We LOVE dice in our house. We've got them all over the place. Dice and marbles and pipe cleaners. Go figure. She is so cute!
