Things I Don't Get

Or, The Post In Which I Channel My Cranky Old Lady-ness.

I want to put hangers, with clothes on them, thru these whenever I see them. And I wonder what this will look like when these people are old and saggy. Bleurgh.

These are so expensive. Wouldn't it be cheaper, not to mention more environmentally friendly, to buy the regular package of your snack of choice, take it home and portion it out into little containers? Or am I the crazy one?

I don't even have words. They're just weird. What's the point of them?

On a related note, really? Leg warmers? We did this once in the 80s and it was a bad, bad look. It's still bad. If you're a dancer or a cyclist, fine, but as a fashion statement, with high heels? No. Just no.

Someone please to explain.

I'm with you on all of these. I don't get it either. I feel a post of my own coming on after seeing yours. I'm just not sure where to start.
The last 3 of yours, I DUNNO!
Sorry, I'm no help!

Hugs!!

that one lady with the pink thingy covering the foot and heal has very long toes! Like as long as my fingers!!
I'm grossed out by feet and toes.
as for the leg warmers... i saw some recently with holes in them to wear them like stirrups with high heels. that's gross!

I'll defend the 100 calorie packs. As someone with, um, issues with portion size, the pre-portioned snack is really very helpful (i.e., it's much hard to fib to myself). Yep, I feel stupid that I pay more and I feel bad for the environment but I give myself environmental credits in other areas to make up for it!

I think they don't actually remember the 80s.

I remember the 80's.

Once was enough.

Legwarmers are dodgy to start with but that pair adds to the crime by being ruched. And orange.

I have to agree with a lot of your cranky old lady-ness!

I mean, the toe-less socks I understand ar supposedto be so you can wear themwith peep-toe pumps, but that just puts thm in the same basket as the legwarmers and shuttershades - stuff that should have stayed in the 80s. Damn Kanye West for finding a pair of those shades in his older brother's old closet or something!

And those ears? There is no going back from that. A smallish piercing won't show up much and could close, a tattoo can usually be hidden, covered with makep, or lasered, but those? Nuh-uh.

Um. Those pink things? Weird. Just weird.

I am with you all the way

If you explain them then you need to have them. Let's just let them be....

Shutter Shades? WTF? It gives me a headache just THINKING about wearing something like that.

And the 80's? Um yeah, once was enough.

Oh, funny story about those 100 calorie snack things. Hubby went to Sam's Club with the Little Imp over the weekend and brought home a huge box of those things. It has baked cheetos (which Imp calls Tiger Tails) Sun Chips and Smartfood. Smartfood is my downfall. Love the stuff!

Tiger Tails didn't last long. And now Imp has discovered the Sun Chips too. Those will be gone soon. And the Smart Food...it was gone yesterday.

He now knows not to ever do that again and just get the regular size bags. They actually last longer. Don't ask me why, they just do.

I don't know why I thought that was funny???

Those glasses would be great if I were travelling across a glacier & didn't want to get snowblind (I'd pick black though). But that doesn't happen to me very often. Ever.

My sister started a "gromet" in her ear when she was about 15 (and I was about 33). I asked her what she thought it would look like when she was eighty. She looked at me like I had two heads. Kids...

You shake that broom, sister.
