Lords Of The Ring

Perfect blue skies with little striations of clouds.

Rings are delivered.

Old wounds are healed.

And like those damned swallows at Capistrano, the World Series champion Boston Red Sox have returned home to the hallowed grounds of Fenway Park.

I live for this.

It's times like this that I am glad not to be a baseball player. Those rings are HIIIIIIIIDEOUS. Like, class-ring-ugly SQUARED.

However, go Red Sox!

We have a friend who has season tix and I am hoping maybe he will throw some our way this year...

YAY! We love our D'Backs! I got pregnant the year that we won the World Series! Boy, did we celebrate!! I know how you feel! Baseball is the only sport (besides golf, I guess) that I can tolerate!! I'm very happy for you! Hubby is taking 3 kids to Sat. or Sunday's game because we won tickets. I'm staying home with youngest and dog. I will buy her a Happy Meal for lunch and a hamburger for the dog!! Have a great week. Take me out to the ball game.......All together now!!

P.S. Sorry about Schilling, my son just told me he's on the D.L. Good Luck! He used to be ours, did you know?

Araby - Oooh. My sympathies. I feel your pain - we were the hapless team for 86 long years.

elizasmom - they are hideous. But you sort of have to admire them in there sheer awfulness.

SuebOb - yeah, yeah, I know. Sorry. But I love my team....

Tracey - I did know. There were a few funny commercials on TV here when Curt Schilling arrived. I have a soft spot for him because we share the exact same birth date.

I did not know that, about your birthday. We still have a purple D'backs Schilling t-shirt. It used to fit my son years ago so it's like a youth small. It's in storage but if you want it I'll look for it.

That would be cool, Tracy. I could put it on Boo. The Bug has a Varitek jersey. Very cool.

GO SOX!!!

I love baseball season, the time when Chris sleeps on the couch through October (grrr ... Yankees fan) and you and I sound like raving Red Sox lunatics.

I hope to catch a game this season ... once I win the lottery and can afford the damn tickets.

My fellow lunatic. :D

It's a good thing that Chris is so nice, otherwise this mixed marriage would never get my seal of approval. And if he EVER does anything wrong, I will blame it completely and entirely on the fact that he's a *spit* Yankees fan.

Congrats!!
I'm still surviving on the back to back World Series for the Toronto Blue Jays in the early 90's.
It's a tough road for a sports fan in Toronto.

Didn't someone say sleep is the nectar of the Gods? I hope you have found some.
