O's A1c came today. 7.7%. That's down from 8.8%. Doods. We so fucking ROCK right now.
I'm so psyched. I was feeling like I wasn't doing enough, like I was missing something with this because we just worked and worked and worked at it and for the last 9 months, her A1c has been atrocious. 9.2%, 8.7% and 8.8%.
I guess we're doing something right. For now, anyway.

I love the "f" word! w00t!
Congradufukinlations!!!!!!!!
What a super improvement. I think we'll have to bring some of the confetti over from Sandra's site and continue the celebration.
I'm so pleased for you. May the good numbers move forward.
That's a great A1c, and a helluva progression in the right direction! I was at Joslin on Tuesday and part of me was sort of hoping to run into you guys ... I bet you were there just a few days before. I stopped in to see Dr. A (I miss pediatrics so much) and wished I was 10 yrs old again. She's a great doctor. :)
Great a1c! You girls are definately doing something right!
Woot! Woot!
Yayyyy!!!!
Hoooray!!!!
Congrats! ( By the way, Kerri, I was across the street from Joslin on Tuesday. Lemme know when you're next in town...)
Fantastic!!!
I'd say you're doing a whole helluva lot right. Awesome job, Julia.
Rock on!!!
Way to go!
Kerri - we were there last Friday. I can't believe you drive 3.5 hours to go there. Here I was, bitching about my 2 hour commute. there.
I'm only doing Joslin once a year from now on, since they're not even in my insurance plan anymore. But it's worth it for me to pay out of pocket to still be involved with the leading diabetes clinic in the world.
That, and my doctor is Florence Brown, a leading pregnancy specialist for women with diabetes ... that will prove to be very convenient once I'm ready to take that step.
... but yeah, loo-ooong fucking drive. I called everyone I knew to pass the time. And I listened to about seven cds. :)
congratulations to you and O! What a great jump in the right direction.
Thats awesome-I'm thrilled for you BOTH.
Congrads!
